The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the just recently concluded IDEF’19, 14th International Defence Industry Fair held in Turkey.
Atesci which is located in Ostim,Yenimahalle, Ankara the largest industrial zone in Turkey designs and assembles various machinery, tooling and equipment as well as turn-key ammunition production line solutions.
With this partnership, the Turkish-base aims to expand its operations into Africa to meet the regional requirement. An official of Atesci disclosed that the company is capable of establishing interlinking production lines for small and medium calibre ammunition. Atesci ammo lines have a wide range of machinery to manufacture all inert ammunition components.
Atesci also creates solutions to modernize and renovate old and outdated ammo lines by easily integrating its machinery to different technologies.
Proforce Limited recently inducted its new Ara (Thunder) range of Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected (MRAP) vehicle to the African market. According to Proforce, the Ara can come with a range of reactive armour blocks or passive armour-like slat, applique armour to defeat IEDs, shaped charge warheads and elastic formed penetrators.
It’s unique capability which Proforce claims gives it an edge of contemporary MRAP includes its cutting-edge mobility systems which offer outstanding manoeuvrability in various terrains even difficult ones.
The Chadian government has signed a contract with Proforce for the sale of twenty improved Ara (Ara 2) mine-resistant ambush-protected (MRAP) vehicles.
