 A single vessel of the MEKO 360H1 variant was produced for the Nigerian Navy known as the Aradu, it is one of the largest vessels of that navy. Although this particular class of ship is designated a frigate by the manufacturers but Jane’s Fighting Ships and the Argentinian Navy classifies it as a destroyer. However this ship is inoperable and has been left in bad condition for years now.

Gowind-class corvette

The Gowind design is a family of steel monohull corvettes developed since 2006 by DCNS to conduct missions in littoral zone such as anti-submarine warfare (ASW). The Gowind family includes vessels with lengths from 85m to 102m and displacement from 1,000t to 2,500t.
The Gowind design can deploy Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) and Underwater Unmanned Vehicles (UUVs). An aft deck has been provided allowing for a 10-ton class helicopter or Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) operations.
The Egptian Navy has production right for this class of vessel and will begin serial production soon.

The san Meko 200 (type used by both south africa and Algeria have 32 VLS cells for umkhonto SAMs. They cant fire sea sparrows

your are comparing the "POWERFUL WARSHIPS IN AFRICA " so we should compare the african worship version , not standard version of manufacturer , all ships commanded by any country have their indidividual modification ! + the moroccan (mohammed VI) FREMM don't have VLS for the SCALP Naval cruise missiles and haven't also jammers and the Narwhal gun systems. the egyptian ( tahya masr) FREMM don't have VLS for the SCALP Naval cruise missiles and jammers also . you can find official reports easly for this two contract , the scalp has a 1,000 km range that's why is forbidden… Read more »

@Anonymous, the French may have removed the SCALP Cruise missile from the Moroccan FREMM Frigate but we do not know that as data are scarce concerning the whole deal.
Also, about the MEKO 200 we the original data provided by the manufacturer any further modification by individual countries/users is not taken into account.

the moroccan FREMM havn't the cruise missile SCALP 😉 , i will search for the egyptian one , for the MEKO200 do you take the capacity of the most advanced one ( algerian version ) or the south african ??
